Cross stitch updates
April 10th, 2010When was reorganising my craft room the other day I found some half finished cross stitch projects stashed away in a box. One of them being a Mona Lisa book mark. It must have been a gift from someone. It is stitched on black Aida, and I really don’t like stitching on Aida. But I can’t for the love of it remember who gave it to me. Anyway, It’s finished and I’m really content the way it turned out.
On the left a small project being a circle of some unrecognisable flowers and French lilies. It is stitched on I think Jobelan evenwave with DMC linen colour L 159. On the right a start. I have been wanting to stitch Cirque des Cercles from Ink Circles for a very long time and it has been in my stash for even longer. So after I finished Mona I “allowed” myself to start it, eventhough I have The Lavender shop, Nova, A Stitchers ABC and The Egyptian sampler as a wip in my craftroom.
CdC is being stitched 1 over 2 on 32 count Belfast linen with Gloriana hand dyed silks in the colour sage. I started stitching 2 over 2, but did not like the result so i frogged it all and started over. I’m now at the ‘frogging-point’ and I really love how it turns out.
The tape measure
March 24th, 2010Last month I bought a tape measure kit on the craft fair in Zwolle at the booth of Nenne Design and today I finished it.

The loot
February 13th, 2010
Four cabinets with 4×4 small drawers which can be linked to each other. Every little drawer contains 4 to 5 skeins of cross stitch fiber. Two large patterns and a cookie can filled with small ones.
Books! The large one on the bottom right is about old samplers. I love samplers!
And magazines and patterns plus clippings with patterns..
Have you seen the date on the magazine on the right? It’s the Margriet. A woman’s magazine and the title means Daisy’s. Its from April 19, 1958. Awesome isn’t it?
Last but not least I got more patterns and fabric.
